The Student Sustainability Initiative (SSI) merged with the Center for Civic Engagement (CCE). This is a result of the two units being part of Student Leadership & Involvement, sharing similar goals and missions, and sharing physical office space in the Student Experience Center Suite 206.
Emily Brock will be presenting her resident scholar lecture on the topic of the history of plywood on Wednesday, August 29th at 2 p.m in Willamette East.
Rima Reeves is out of the office for the next 3-6 weeks, so please be sparing on e-mails to her while she’s out of the office.

Science Librarian – Diana Park was hired for this position. She’ll start 17 September 2018.
College of Business/Social Sciences Data Librarian – Diana Castillo was hired for this position. Her start date is October 22nd 2018.
Metadata Librarian – The committee is reviewing the applicants.
LT2’s in Circulation – The three positions have been posted, and applications are coming in.
LT3 in Acquisitions – The committee has been formed and they’re working on trying to find a search advocate.
LT3 in Collections – A committee has not been formed for this search yet.
Head of Cataloging and FDLP – A PD is being developed and the committee is being identified.

This is a dwarf gourami.They have elongated pectoral fins used for feeling around since they normally live in dark, murky water.They have a labyrinth organ which allows them to breathe atmospheric air – which is handy, because they tend to live in oxygen deprived water.The males also blow bubbles to build their nests, which they also protect.
