How it works
We have a diverse collection of gear available for the OSU community to check out from the Library Front Desk. To see what we have available, you can consult our list of available equipment, search 1Search, or visit the Front Desk to see a staff member for help finding what you need. Check out times will depend on what you are checking out and overdue fines and fees do apply. Bring Photo ID with you and we will help you get what you need!
Checkout of laptops and equipment implies agreement with the following statement:
"I agree to pay all costs associated with damage to this library item or its associated peripheral equipment or its replacement costs should it be lost or stolen. I understand that the replacement cost for laptops and equipment may be up to $2,000 plus $23 processing fee."
The majority of our equipment loans out for 7 days at a time.
Some equipment comes with multiple pieces and must be returned with all pieces.
We will allow renewals in person, by email, or by phone if there is another item like the one you have borrowed available. If not, you will be asked to wait 24 hours before you may borrow again in order to share the resource with our community.
Important note about logging in and leaving campus:
For all laptops, you must log in to the laptop using your ONID account before leaving campus. You can turn off the laptop and leave campus with it as long as you have first logged in while connected to the OSU wireless network.
The OSU-Cascades Library Circulation Desk has both Windows and Mac laptops available for loan. They are available on a first come, first served basis.
Will always be due on the last day of the term.
There are NO renewals for term-long laptops.
You may contact IT and have them install software on this laptop but please do so at your own risk. The library is not responsible for loss of data, functionality, personal software licenses, or security resulting from how you use the laptops.
