Computers

We have computers located in the library open study space and in our study rooms.

Our computers, that you log into with your ONID, provide internet access, library resources, and have pre-installed programs. These workstations are available to OSU students, faculty and staff with a valid ONID account. These computers permit saving of files to the a cloud-based storage or a USB flash drive. Files stored directly on the desktop will be wiped.

Computer Use Guidelines

The OSU-Cascades Library makes desktop and laptop computers available to students, faculty and staff with a valid ONID account to provide access to library collections and other information resources for the purpose of supporting and facilitating learning, research, and teaching.

Misuse of Computers

Computers must be used in compliance with state and federal laws and with University Policy: 08-005 Acceptable Use of University Resources. Those who violate this policy or state or federal laws may be subject to criminal or disciplinary proceedings.

Print

Print jobs sent from any of the OSU-Cascades Library desktop computers can be sent to the printer located in the Library's Resource Room (202B). All printing done using the library computers will be charged to your ONID account.

BeaverPrint can also be used to print to the library printer. All printing done using BeaverPrint will be charged to your ONID account.

The University processes bills once a month and will send bill information to your ONID email address. Log in to ONID to look at your ONID bill.

Please note: cash/coin payment is not available for printing in the OSU-Cascades Library.

Scan

Our scanner is located in the Library Resource Room (202B). This scanner allows you to scan documents (color, gray, black and white) in searchable PDF, quick PDF, JPEG, PNG, or rich text formats, and send them to an email address or store on a flashdrive. It is recommended that you scan no more than 17 pages at a time to prevent the scanner from freezing. Your mailbox will also need to have sufficient storage space for your documents or they will be lost when sent. There is no charge for the service.
