If you have textbooks you would like to make available for students to access through the library, first fill out our online Course Reserve form providing information about the book and class, then drop the book off at the Library Front Desk in Tykeson 202. If you need help filling out the form or have questions, you can visit the Front Desk. There, we can help you fill out the form online or fill out a paper form.
If any of the OSU Libraries have a copy of the book you are using for a class, you can fill out our online Course Reserve form, noting that it is a library item, and we will put it on reserve for your class.
Please allow up to 1 week for reserve materials to be processed.
When items are placed on reserve, they can be circulated for 3 hours, 1 day, or 2 days. It is recommended that at least 2 copies of required materials be made available to reserves for classes with 20 or more students.
Students can check the items out by visiting the Library Front Desk. If items that check out for 3 hours are checked out within 3 hours of closing, the item will be due the following open day at opening. So, if an item is checked out Friday within 3 hours of closing, it would be due Monday at opening. By checking out books through the Library, students, faculty, and staff are agree to the fines and fees asscociated with the items.
To view a current listing of your reserve items, please visit the course reserves main page. For current availability, please visit 1Search and search by course number, course title, instructor's name, or title of the book.
Tip: Include Cascades when searching for your course to see Cascades items (ie. Cascades COMM 321).
You can decide to add or remove items from reserve at any time by emailing the Library or dropping by the Library Front Desk to let us know.
