Find my textbooks?
Here is a list of this term's course reserves, or search for your textbook in 1Search. Search for your course or textbook title and choose to search in course reserves from the drop down menu that appears when you start typing. Hint: Add "Bend" to your course name to see just OSU-Cascades course reserves - i.e. Bend COMM 111 and choose to search in course reserves.
Course reserves are textbooks your instructors make available in the library for their students. These books are available for 3-hour, 1-day or 2-day, depending on the number of books available and your instructor's preference.
Do you have current textbooks that you don't need anymore? We accept donations of current textbooks!
Using 1Search, you can request materials from our branch libraries. You need to be logged in to place the request.
Visit the Requesting Items page to learn more.
OSU faculty, staff and students can request books and other items from Summit via the Orbis Cascade Alliance which provides access to more than 28.7 million items belonging to the collections of thirty-nine colleges and universities in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.
For more information visit our page about Requesting Items.
Use Interlibrary Loan to request items not found in OSU Libraries (Valley, Guin, and OSU-Cascades) or in the Summit catalog. Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is available to currently registered OSU students, current and emeritus faculty, and staff with a valid ONID account.
For more information review Renewing Interlibrary Loan Materials.
From the People Search page, search for your name. When the results come up, click on your name and look at the bottom of the page for "ONID Username".
Computers are available for use with a valid ONID login and password, and are fully connected to the Internet and campus network. Public patrons can use the kiosk in the Tykeson lobby, or ask for assistance at the Library & Learning Commons desk.
Visit our Computers & Wireless page for more details.
You can also borrow laptops and other equipment from the library. Laptops checkout for 3-days, just make sure you login before leaving campus.
All Library computers print to one black and white printer located in the Computer Lab (Tykeson 102), as well as the printer in the Library's Resource Room (202B). Visit our Print, Scan & Copy page for more details.
Printing to the Library's Printer
Photocopies? Scanning? PDFs?
Tykeson Hall does not have a copy machine for student use. However, the Library does have a scanner (202B), which you could then print your scans. This scanner allows you to export documents as PDFs too!
