Martin Luther King Jr. Day is Monday, January 16th

Martin Luther King Jr. brings a lot of topics to mind: civil rights, human rights, activism, racism, change, discrimination, slavery, diversity, public service, volunteering, war, nonviolence, peace, compassion, etc. MLK Day is observed the third Monday of January each year, observing the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr.  and his life achievements. 

This week's Serendipity Exhibit highlights books and movies that relate to the themes surrounding Martin Luther King Jr.'s life. Enjoy documentaries, narratives, court cases, general non-fiction and novels.

Day of Service

The Office of Student Life is hosting a day of service in honor of MLK Day, January 16th. Participants have the opportunity to volunteer with one of six community partners to help improve Central Oregon and our local community. For more information visit their page about the MLK Day of Service:
