Exhibit: President's Day

President's Day

The day we now know as President's Day, a day to honor all who have served as president, was originally created to celebrate the first president of the United States' birthday. Officially, the third Monday in February celebrates and is named Washington's Birthday. Colloquially, this day is now known as President's Day, but often is used to also celebrate Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson's birthdays as well. Interestingly, different states celebrate different variations of this day.

This week in our Serendipity Exhibit you can find a wide variety of books and videos. While all touching on the presidential and politics, they range in topic. For instance, this week you'll find the eBook Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, the book The republic of Nature and the video The Fog of War all highlighted.
